October 2017
A whole year of hard work ends for a winemaker with the harvest
In some events, 2017 has been a special and exceptional year, started with a spring frost and heavily penalised by intense thunderstorms and hailstorms that hit many areas of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, luckily our fields were spared.
The harvest of our Prosecco started the first week of September, anticipating the average period of about ten days.
The sampling of the vineyards, all located in one property, allows us to select the various parcels and to sort the grapes according to the desired oenological objective. The collection in small boxes allows us to maintain the integrity of the grape, the short time between the cut of the grape and its pressing is still one of our key strengths.
For now, Prosecco bases are balanced with a prevalence in tropical fruit scents such as pink grapefruit and peach. We look forward to the evolution of red wines...
